Before you list
- You own the car or are authorized to sell it, and the title is in hand or you can get it.
- The title is clean or rebuilt and the listing says which. Salvage and flood titles belong on OnlySalvage.
- Any open loan or lien is disclosed in the listing.
Accurate listings
Use your own photos of the actual car (at least 8, up to 100). Mileage, trim, title status and known problems must be accurate. Disclose known accidents and open recalls. Price must be the full asking price; no "call for price" or hidden fees.
Review and removal
New listings are reviewed, usually within a few hours. We may ask for edits, a VIN photo or proof of ownership, and may remove listings that break these terms. Mark the car sold within 48 hours of selling it.
Dealers
Dealer accounts must list a licensed business, show the license number on request, and may display an exact address and website. Doc fees and any required add-ons must be included in or stated alongside the price.
Closing the sale
You and the buyer agree the payment method and handover between yourselves. Sign the title over correctly, give a bill of sale, and in North Carolina remove your plates. OnlyCars does not collect, hold or release money for the sale.
